TECHNICAL PROGRAM (SEP 29, 2018)

The daytime technical program will include three Technical Tracks as described below. Speakers are invited to submit an abstract related to a topic below.

TRACK 1: Women in STEM

  • Discuss how to mitigate the gender gap of women in STEM jobs
  • Discuss stories of successful women in STEM
  • Provide motivational advice to young women about pursuing STEM careers
  • Discuss how non-profit STEM organizations are motivating young women towards STEM careers

TRACK 2: Community Involvement in STEM

  • Discuss how community involvement helps motivate our kids towards STEM
  • Discuss how K-12 schools are promoting STEM
  • Discuss how collegiate level educators are promoting STEM
  • Discuss how non-profit STEM organizations are promoting STEM
  • Discuss the impact of STEM jobs in USA due to changes in immigration policies

TRACK 3: Future Careers in STEM

  • Discuss disruptive technologies that will impact the future workforce
  • Provide insights into future technology jobs

Please submit your abstract by June 15, 2018. You will be informed if your abstract has been accepted within 2 weeks of your submittal. If accepted, you will only be requested to submit a MS PowerPoint presentation by 7-31-18. Each presentation will be limited to 20 min & 10 min for Q&A.
